SLReviewFlow terms of service

These terms explain what you agree to when you create an SLReviewFlow account and run a review: approval, your data, acceptable use, and how to close your account.

Who we are

SLReviewFlow is a web application for systematic literature reviews, run by Research Mind LLC at www.slreviewflow.com. These terms are an agreement between you and Research Mind. By creating an account or using SLReviewFlow you accept them.

Your account

  • You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google or Microsoft. An administrator approves each new account before it can open projects, and may decline or later remove access.
  • Give your real name and affiliation, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at accounts@slreviewflow.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
  • Your plan sets limits such as the number of projects and records. The limits shown in the app are the ones that apply to you.

Your review data

Everything you add to a project stays yours: protocols, searches, import files, records, decisions, notes, PDFs, studies and reports. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so that SLReviewFlow can work for you, for example to find duplicates, show your screening queue and build your exports.

Only add material you have the right to use. Bibliographic exports from databases and full-text PDFs often come with licence terms from the database or publisher; following them is your responsibility. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Publishing a review

Projects are private unless you choose to publish a finalised release. Publishing is optional and has its own publishing terms, shown to you before you publish.

Acceptable use

Use SLReviewFlow for research and review work. Do not:

  • try to reach another researcher's projects or accounts, or get around plan limits, approval or security controls;
  • upload malware, or material that is unlawful or that you have no right to share;
  • overload the service, for example with automated scraping or requests far beyond normal use;
  • resell or rent access to SLReviewFlow without our written agreement.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Automated suggestions

Duplicate matching, open-access lookups and other automated features suggest, they do not decide. Check the results before relying on them. Screening and eligibility decisions, and the conclusions of your review, remain yours.

Availability and changes

We work to keep SLReviewFlow running and your data safe, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Export your projects regularly; each project can be exported at any time. We may change or retire features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we will try to tell you ahead of time.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Research Mind is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost time, lost research or missed deadlines, arising from your use of SLReviewFlow. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Closing your account

You can stop using SLReviewFlow at any time. To close your account, email accounts@slreviewflow.com from the address you sign in with; we delete the account together with its projects and files. Export anything you want to keep first.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect, and tell you in the app or by email for significant changes. Questions about these terms go to Research Mind LLC at accounts@slreviewflow.com.
